Jeremy and Chris Thompson – Semurai Designs

Semurai Designs is the artistic monicker of brothers Jeremy and Chris Thompson. As musicians, they performed at Backwoods as leaders of the hip hop group Kinfolkz & Co, blending humorous lyrics with a live funk band. Since then, they’ve earned a niche in the arts community for blending pop art aesthetics with a wide range of subjects and media. While the brothers are best known for their custom painted shoes, they’ve also been winning awards at gallery exhibitions and lending their talents to indigenous cultural projects, such as “Visualizing Indigenous Florida” with the University of North Florida.
